Palak fry

Palak is good for health as it helps to cure constipation, great for diabetics and great for heart. It is low in fat and low in cholestrol. Palak fry is so easy to make and is very healthy too. It can be taken as a sidedish for rice

Preparation Time :20 minutes

Cooking Time :15 minutes


Ingredients:

  • Big Onion -1
  • Red Chilli -2
  • Mustard seeds/Kadugu -1tsp
  • Urad dal -1/2 tsp
  • Palak leaves -2cup
  • Coconut -1tblsp
  • Fennel seeds/Perunjeerakam/sombu -1/2tsp
  • Salt -1tsp
  • Oil -1tblsp
For Grinding:

  • Coconut -1tblsp
  • Fennel seeds/Perunjeerakam/sombu -1/2tsp
 Grind this coarsely. Don't add water 

Preparation:

  • Take the leaves from palak and wash it and keep
  • Chop onion into small pieces
  • Grind coconut and fennel seeds and keep

Procedure:

  • Pour oil in a pan
  • After oil gets heated, add mustard seeds and after it splutters add urad dal and red chilli and fry
  • Then add onion and fry
  • Then add palak and fry till it shrinks
  • Add the grinded coconut and fennel seeds next and mix
  • Palak fry is now ready!!!

Step by step procedure:

Pour oil in a pan. After oil gets heated, add mustard seeds and after it splutters add urad dal and red chilli and fry. Then add onion and fry
Then add palak and fry till it shrinks
Grind coconut and fennel seeds in a mixer
Add this to palak
Palak fry is now ready!!!
